We recommend delegates book accommodation in Brisbane’s South Bank or CBD (Central Business District) areas. These precincts offer the widest range of accommodation options across all budgets and star ratings, excellent dining and entertainment facilities, and convenient public transport connections.

Accommodation options within walking distance of the conference venue, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) are limited, making South Bank and the CBD the most practical locations for visitors.

If proximity to TRI is the priority, there are several accommodation options in Woolloongabba and Annerley that are significantly closer than staying in South Bank or the CBD.

Transport / How to get to the conference venue

The conference is held at the Translational Research Institute (TRI). TRI is located at 37 Kent Street, Woolloongabba, adjacent to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

By public transport

  • From South Bank, take a bus from the Cultural Centre or South Bank busway stations to the PA Hospital/Woolloongabba precinct, then walk a short distance to TRI.
  • From South Brisbane train station, ride 3 stops to Dutton Park train station and walk 5 minutes to TRI.
  • From Brisbane CBD, frequent bus services operate to the PA Hospital and Woolloongabba busway stations.
  • Journey times are typically 10–20 minutes, depending on departure location and traffic conditions.


By car or taxi/rideshare

  • Travel time from South Bank or Brisbane CBD is generally 10–15 minutes outside peak traffic periods.
  • Limited parking is available in the surrounding precinct; delegates are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
